Playing a Q without a U
Most of these words come from Arabic, Hebrew or Chinese, where Q stands for a sound English spells differently. QI (a life force in Chinese thought) is the one to learn first: it is short, valid in all three dictionaries and lands the Q on a premium square easily.
Check the dictionary column before you play: some of these words are allowed in Collins but not in NWL.
