Accessibility
How the site works with keyboards, screen readers, dark mode and reduced motion.
Word Puzzle Answers should work for everyone, on any device, with or without a mouse, and in light or dark mode.
What we do
- Contrast. Text and controls meet WCAG 2.2 AA contrast in both the light and the dark theme.
- Colour is never the only signal. Game colours always come with a mark and a label: ✓ for right spot, ↔ for wrong spot and ✕ for not in the word. Dictionary badges show a word as well as a colour.
- Keyboard. Every link, button and field can be reached with the Tab key, shows a clear focus ring, and the "Skip to content" link jumps past the header.
- Touch. Buttons, chips and word tiles are at least 44 pixels tall.
- Motion. If your device asks for reduced motion, tile animations and hover lifts are switched off.
- Without JavaScript. Every word list and word page is plain HTML. Only the interactive tools need JavaScript.
- Dark mode. The site follows your device's light or dark setting.
- Print. Lists print cleanly, without the header, footer or buttons.
